Letter from Chris
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Neighbors of Georgia's 12th District,

Home is never far from any soldier's heart while serving away from country, families and friends. Many of you who have a loved one that has served understand the indescribable joy of reuniting with a friend or family member that has returned. Personally, my tour of duty in Iraq has changed my life's direction and commitment to include serving you and my own family in a greater capacity than ever.

With my friends, neighbors and family in mind, I have chosen the course to run for Georgia's 12th Congressional Seat in the US House of Representatives. I am running because it is important to lead with honesty, accountability and hope. Please join me in the fight to support our life values and the way our government responds to our changing economy, culture and people. I now begin this campaign with great determination and your support.

With pride from a working class heritage, and as a husband and father, I understand the importance of those issues that affect our day to day lives.

Job Growth and Economic growth are paramount to ensuring the highest quality of life in our communities. We need lower taxes and limited government for the 12th District, making more money available to stimulate job growth, to create new educational opportunities and for vital reinvestment back into our local community.

You deserve the best Healthcare options and we must look for new solutions like allowing health insurance to be portable across State lines (when health insurers compete - you win with lower premiums and better coverage).

Immigration reform must occur now. I am prepared to lead in a commitment to use existing technologies today to protect our borders and to accurately document those entering our country. We must begin to enforce existing laws, adopt a functional guest worker sponsorship program and make English the official language of the US government.

In Iraq, we must begin by knowing what the Iraqi people want for themselves. We need to clearly articulate what is happening in Iraq, and we need to plainly state our Nation's exit strategy from Iraq. If we quit and run two things will happen; the enemies of the United States will see this as weakness and they will attack us at home, and the Iraqi people will suffer through a long dark period resulting in the violent deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis. I will do everything in my power to prevent this.

Winning a Congressional seat is an incredible project. It takes faith of heart, passion, commitment, financial resources and the dedication of hundreds of supporters.

We will win this election together, and I am greatly appreciative of any level of support you are able to give.

Sincerely,

Chris Edenfield
